There is a new queen in town, not sure what her name will be, but she and the three pounds of new bees seem to be settling in fine.
The bees came from Georgia in a truck full of about 100 boxes of three pounds of honey.
The queen comes in a little cage and is marked with a little blued dot so that she is easier to find in the hive. She has some attendants in the cage to take care of her, comb her hair, feed her, and gnereally keep her company.
The cage is stopped up with candy, after a fey days the bees eat the candy out and by then they are used to her and love her.
By now the queen is free and bees are making wax in their new hive.
