There are two drones in the middle of the photo. They are bigger than the workers (the rest of the bees) and have really big eyes. (But they don't work and they don't have stingers.)

Summer 2013

There are new bees at the Chinquapin Garden hives, and they are doing well.  Theodora and Zoe are the new queens, named after the co-Empresses of the Byzantine Empire.
